WILLA PERLMAN,
Managing Partner and Founder of Ligature Partners, Inc., moved
into
executive search in 2001 after more than 20 years of senior level
executive management experience in publishing, intellectual property
development and general operating roles. Her prior executive
credentials include: president of Hasbro Properties Group, at Hasbro,
Inc; president of Golden Books Publishing Group; president &
publisher of Simon & Schuster Children's Books Division; and vice
president, editorial director of "Willa Perlman Books," an imprint of
the HarperCollins Children's Division. Willa started her publishing
career at Harcourt Brace Jovanovich where she held senior level
positions in trade book marketing, publicity and advertising and
launched the children's trade imprint, "Gulliver Books." She was
ultimately named director of Harcourt's Children's Trade Division and
worked collaboratively with Harcourt Education on the development of
the highly acclaimed "Treasury of Reading" basal textbook program. Willa@LigaturePartners.com
PATTY SULLIVAN
joined Ligature Partners in August of 2007 as a partner. Executive
search is a natural extension of the work she has done over the past
nine years as founder of p.s. ink., a consulting boutique providing
publishing solutions to the book industry; her client base included
Scholastic, Barnes & Noble, Disney Children's Publishing and the
American Academy of Pediatrics. p.s. ink. also provided publishing
representation to the entertainment industry. Patty spent close to 20
years in executive positions at three of the world's largest trade
publishers: executive vice president, publisher, Golden Books; senior
vice president and publisher, Simon & Schuster Children's Books
Division; and senior vice president, associate publisher, sales and
marketing at Random House Children's Book Division. Patty began her
career at Random House in the special markets division. She then became
one of the founding members of a newly-formed children's book and
non-book division where she was instrumental in its double-digit growth
over more than ten years. In addition, Patty was instrumental in
launching Random House Audiobooks as well as the video and software
divisions. She has worked with all of the major children's licensors as

ARDITH MYERS
joined Ligature Partners in January of 2012 as a partner. She has been in
executive search since 1999 and previously worked for Boston Search Group
– an executive search firm focused on education and technology – where she
developed a specialization in K-12 and post-secondary education. Before
that, Ardith was a partner at Whitehead Mann Group, working on technology and
healthcare searches and handling their executive assessment practice in the
US. Prior to executive search, Ardith managed her own consulting business
for ten years, working with clients in Boston, New York and London. Her
consulting assignments involved recruitment strategies, organizational and
executive development, as well as team dynamics. Early in her career, she
worked at Pepsi in strategic planning and for Genex Corporation, a pioneer
biotechnology start-up, in marketing communications and public affairs.

AMIR COHEN joined Ligature Partners in 2010 as
CFO. He is a seasoned publishing
executive with a career that started more that 20 years ago at the Schocken
Group in Israel. Since 1991 when he
joined the Forward as business manager, Amir has been practicing his trade in
the US. He led the New Jersey Jewish News from years of deficits into seven
straight years of growing profitability while expanding its brand throughout
the state. Amir owned and operated Mediabuy LLC, an advertising agency and
consulting firm. Before joining Ligature
Partners, he served as CEO at JFL Media, a Massachusetts based non-profit. Amir

ELIZABETH GARZARELLI
joined the firm in 2005 and is a principal with Ligature Partners. A
former licensed professional counselor and executive coach, Elizabeth
has seven years of experience in executive recruiting. Focusing on
mid-level to senior management positions, she specializes in the broad
range of the publishing field, including books, magazines, online media
and journals. She has a particular expertise in educational
publishing, educational assessment and educational technology for both
K-12 and higher education. Elizabeth partners with clients and
candidates to guide successful placements, aligning business
strategies, cultural fit and long-term business requirements. She
builds deep, "trusted advisor" relationships with a keen appreciation
for the unique requirements of each individual search. Elizabeth
is an internationally-certified Global Career Development
Facilitator.

SCOUT IOZZIA
has been an executive assistant with Ligature Partners since 2007. She
has a background
in recruiting as well as nine years of publishing experience as an
editorial assistant, executive assistant and advertising account
representative. She previously
worked for Allyn & Bacon, an imprint of Pearson Education, CFO
Magazine and European Voice, Economist Group publications, and the
Hartford Courant.

CLAIRE COOK has been a research & administrative assistant
with Ligature Partners since September 2011. She joined the world of executive
search with a background in academic research, having studied cognitive science
as a Ph.D. candidate at MIT, specializing in children's cognition. Claire
worked as a researcher and an affiliate of developmental psychology labs at
Brown University and the University of British Columbia- Vancouver prior to her
work at MIT. Her interest in the science of children's and adults' learning –
as well as a lifelong love of reading – brought her to Ligature Partners with a
natural curiosity about the publishing, educational technology and interactive
